Extruder Heater Not Working

Hi,
Having an issue with my EBB2209. I was half way through an 8 hour print when i got an error ...Lost comunication with mcu didnt say which one, when rebooted all is working except the extruder heater. There is no voltage going to the heater and the extruder cooling fan does not come on. I get a reading from the thermistor and can control the stealth burner leds and can query adxl. so canbus comunications seem ok. The only error i get when setting extruder temp is the usual saftey shutdown.
