Description
After I've upgraded my system from Gnome 41 to 42 spring started crashing from time to time when loading games. I've managed to reproduce it to the points that when game is loading or map is being downloaded when I start to move my mouse a lot it crashes the process. When I don't move mouse at all, all is fine.
My current working theory is that when the game is being loaded/map is being downloaded spring doesn't process input events, that with combination of https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=GNOME-42-Input-Rate introduced by upgrade, causes some event buffer (?) to overflow and crashing the process.

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is named. First reproduce the crash on GNOME 42 with Wayland while loading a game or map and moving the mouse rapidly, then trace the input-event handling and crash output. Done means the reported loading scenario no longer crashes and the fix is covered by a reproducible regression check.
