Once delete all text in orange background, can't input anything back.

Reproduce the issue in the logo editor by deleting all text while the background is orange, then trying to type again. Since the issue body names no files or entry points, inspect the JavaScript input-handling code and identify where the text becomes unable to accept input. Done means text can be entered again after deletion, with the original behavior still working.
