Add suffix to app name for better deployment?

I'm trying to follow the instructions at

http://wiki.apache.org/couchdb/How_to_deploy_view_changes_in_a_live_environment

and would love to be able to append an "old" suffix to my design docs on push. Not familiar with erlang, else I would add this myself.

Read the linked CouchDB deployment instructions first, then trace Erica's push handling for design documents. Done means a push can append an "old" suffix to those documents without disrupting deployment.
