Add docs with usage node-api

Need adds docs for:

* registerFormat
* registerTransform
* registerAction
* registerFilter

Start with the node-api entry point and inspect the existing documentation structure and conventions. Add usage documentation for registerFormat, registerTransform, registerAction, and registerFilter; the issue is done when all four APIs have documented usage examples or guidance consistent with the surrounding docs.
