ATA crashing R

Hi Benjamin,

I am attempting to solve an ATA problem but my R keeps crashing. In RStudio I get the following output and error message:


and if I try it in Rgui.exe the program just closes itself in the middle of solving. I wonder if this has something to do with the console message `assertion failed: a != a` line in the RStudio screenshot.

In any case, I have absolutely no idea how to troubleshoot this. Any help would be appreciated. I hope you've encountered something like this before. I'm happy to share my code if you'd like.
