Description

Validate accelerating (point) and equilibrium (line) conditions for fire spread using Python

- Spread distance for initial acceleration phase
- Spread distance for equilibrium
- Flank and backing ROS calculations
- Testing

Test cases:
Evaluate using RedApp/Prometheus engine as baseline data.
- Constant fuel, wx
- Constant fuel, test wx dataset
- Fuel type changes, constant wx
- Varying fuels, wx

Research direction

No files or test entry points are named. Start by locating the area-burned and fire-spread calculations, then compare them with RedApp/Prometheus baseline data across the listed fuel and weather cases; done means accelerating, equilibrium, flank, and backing results are validated with tests.
