Mainframe Entities Migration - Phase 1: Non-Filing Entities

Building on the Migration Foundation initiative, this project will migrate six low-volume entity (LVE) types from the legacy Mainframe/COLIN environment to the Modernized Business Registry.

- Tramway
- Society
- Pension Funded Society Act

These entity types have limited or no recent filing activity and do not require new filing capabilities to be implemented in the modernized platform prior to migration. As a result, they represent a lower-risk opportunity to operationalize the migration approach, validate migration processes, and reduce reliance on the Mainframe.

The project will focus on source data validation, migration execution, verification, operational readiness, stakeholder communications, and transition of the selected entity types to the Modernized Business Registry. Lessons learned from this phase will inform future migrations of entity types that require ongoing filing support and additional modernized functionality.
