Observed Behaviour
• Searching HH INVESTMENTS returned limited conflict results.
• Searching H H INVESTMENTS returned additional relevant entities including H. & H. INVESTMENTS LTD. and H&H DHILLON INVESTMENT HOLDINGS LTD.
• Search results vary depending on punctuation and spacing patterns that should reasonably normalize to equivalent search terms.
Business Impact
• Conflict candidates may be omitted from examination results.
• Results become dependent on examiner search technique.
• Increased risk of inconsistent regulatory decisions and escalations.
