Description
**Description**
To support the migration of mainframe-managed entities to the modernized system, produce a set of architecture views that communicate the current state, future-state vision, system dependencies, and modernization pathway to provide a shared understanding of the current ecosystem across the Mainframe, Legacy/Colin, and Modernized platforms, specific to the migration task.
Entity data originates in the Mainframe and is replicated to the Legacy system. The team and leadership needs to understand how data, documents, services, integrations, and migration capabilities are structured across all three systems in order to determine the appropriate migration approach and identify opportunities to leverage existing migration mechanisms.
The diagrams will serve as a foundation for migration planning and solution design by documenting the current-state architecture, system interactions, data flows, and dependencies.
These set of diagrams provides strategic, architectural, and execution views, that can be used for different purposes, so we should consider producing all of them:
• Current State Conceptual Architecture (high-level, business-friendly)
• System Context & Integration Architecture (dependencies and flows)
• Modernization / Migration Roadmap (transition strategy)
• Future-State Architecture (high-level, strategic)

Research direction
Start by reviewing the Mainframe, Legacy/Colin, and Modernized platforms, focusing on their data, documents, services, integrations, dependencies, and migration capabilities. Done means producing the requested current-state, system-context and integration, modernization roadmap, and future-state architecture views for the migration task.
