Edit UI: Alteration of type Scenarios - Error when altering BC Ltd --> ULC

- [ ] For the Change of Type where a NR is used, just changing the name automatically changes the type.

When going through an alteration filing from a ULC to a BC LTD there was no issues in the filing. I made sure to use an NR and the NR was for an alteration not a change of name.

When going through an alteration filing from a BC Limited company to a ULC issues ran into changing the ULC to a numbered company did not work

1) Company Dashboard
2) Click on “View and Change Business Information”

3) Click on change icon for the company name and select “Use Incorporation number as the name” check off the box to change the company name to the numbered company example: 1199755 BC LTD and click done .

4) Change the business type click on the “Change Icon” and from the dropdown menu select the “BC Unlimited Liability Company” and check off the box stating the company has completed its set of articles and click done.

Two errors will happen.

If you try to change the business type first before changing the company name it will show this error:

However if you change the company name to a numbered company and then change the business type to a BC Unlimited Liability Company this is the error that populates:

The error states “BC Unlimited Liability Company” with a warning icon “Business type does not match. The Name Request type must match the business type before you can continue”.

The expected behaviour is true in the event they are changing the company name with the alteration of the company type however, for a alteration to a numbered company this is not the case and an Name Request is not needed.

On the Fee Summary it will state “Notice of Alteration from a BC Company to Become a BC Unlimited Liability Company”

then when you go to review and file and pay this error pops up”

Start in the Edit UI flow from Company Dashboard > View and Change Business Information, then reproduce the alteration in both name-change orders described in the issue. Compare the numbered-company case with the Name Request validation and the expected review, filing, and payment flow. Done means the listed Change of Type scenarios work without the incorrect mismatch errors.
