Enhancements - MHR

The current BCROS system does not have ability to take payment from the users’ “BCROS account” for any application, currently.

1. Here is what we use mainframe FAS for in MHR and PPR unit:

Transfers of ownership of every type, public amendments, corrections, Transport permits, Notice of Caution, Exemptions, Priority- any and all potential transmissions for MHR staff where fees needs to be taken. This is too much detail to give you.

1) It has been confirmed that the priority checkmark is not detected by the program (confirmed by ITOps recently) and the system does not offer any receipts of payment or confirmations built into the MHR BCROS program, and for these reasons, MHR staff must go into Virtel FAS each/every time we conduct transfers where BCOL is being used as payment to confirm the monies were taken and provide receipt to clients.
2) At times, the system will refuse to take payment and/or give us an error message at the time of review and confirm payment section, and therefore we must use Virtel FAS to manually take the payments so we can proceed with the filing.
3) There are many times where the client has sent us document with a cheque and later upgrade the file to a priority request and want to make the priority fee payment of $100.00 fee from their BC Online account. We then must debit the transmission using the cheque (Routing slip) method and then manually go into Virtel FAS to take the priority fee from their BCOL account. This is the only way to proceed as BCROS doesn’t allow you to take a priority fee without the statutory fee.
4) There are times where staff may conduct the transmission without taking payment and must use Virtel FAS to manually take the payment afterwards.
5) We must use Virtel FAS to take receipt of payment to provide to the clients
