Description
Staff will require the ability to file a correction to the Registrar's Transparency Register under section 414. Although clients can complete update filings which will primarily be used, there may be cases where a client requests the Registrar make a correction on a clients behalf. This may take place because the company will not act and a court order is submitted. This could also take place because a client is insistent they want something ledgered as a correction.
**Requirements**
- Group has identified that we just have a need for a correction
- The ledger must state if it is a correction in the ledger
- Consideration on whether a correction to a typo in a name would be an ‘update’ that staff would do. Decision that this would not need a court order but could still be considered a correction
- There have previously been court orders that state a certified copy of a court order must be filed with the Registrar
- Key need if the wording above is used that we need a way to provide a copy to a client with a certified staff. Could be done by producing a copy of an upload or scanning a document as available on paper only which could be printed and mailed by the search team
- User experience would be enhanced allowing upload capability
**Outstanding rule on whether corrections / updates can be filed after a company is made historical:**
- Elizabeth has confirmed we do not complete updates/corrections on historical entities
