Description
**Goal** : Update the Account Setup Page to ensure API Clients can easily understand when fees may apply and where to find authoritative fee information.
Note : While the API Terms of Use contains a Fees section, it serves a legal purpose. The Account Setup page serves as user guidance and should provide clear, easy-to-find information about fees and fee-related resources. Users should not be required to read and interpret the ToU to determine whether charges may apply to their use of the APIs.
**Scope**
- [ ] Review the existing Sandbox fee statement and assess whether additional clarification is required.
- [ ] Clarify that Sandbox usage is provided at no cost for development and testing purposes for both internal and external API users.
- [ ] Add a statement that Production transactions may be subject to applicable statutory and service fees for internal and external API clients.
- [ ] Add a link to the Product Fees page where applicable fees are published.
- [ ] Mention that in some cases, access to data has no fee (tombstone data, etc - TBD).
- [ ] Add guidance that eligible internal government partners may be able to apply for fee exemption and can contact BCONLINE@gov.bc.ca to discuss exemption criteria and the application process.
- [ ] Proposed Messaging (Subject to Review)
