Description
in the long run, it would be nice to modify temperature for effects of insolation and topographic shading. that's a heavy lift, though. in the short run, we could include static layers such as the 30m [ALOS CHILI (Continuous Heat-Insolation Load Index) ](https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/CSP_ERGo_1_0_Global_ALOS_CHILI). these could be upscaled to the user grid, or sampled directly for point locations. @kdaust @CeresBarros something for us to discuss.
