Description
In order to properly enforce the legislation, STR Branch needs the ability to query data to analyze and review validation behaviors.
This is valuable to examiners because they need to oversee the platforms and ensure they are acting in accordance with legislated requirements to validate their own listings in the [Regulations Section 13.1 (4) & (5)](https://www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/268_2023#section13.1)
"A major platform service provider and a medium platform service provider must confirm, on the application programming interface specified by the registrar, the validity of the registration number posted by a supplier host for each platform offer on the platform by verifying the elements of the platform offer described in subsection (3)
(a)before a platform offer is posted on the platform,
(b)within 24 hours of any changes to the short-term rental information, and
(c)at least once every 24 hours."
Most reporting should be available in a PowerBI dashboard where appropriate. but the data from both real time and batch validation endpoints need to be provided in a consistent manner
Jupyter notebooks should be leveraged in order to facilitate knowledge sharing between the Dev Team and Business
