Description
105 occurs on gentle warm-aspect slopes or sometimes steep, cool- or neutral-aspect slopes. I would expect Py to perform better over time on warm aspect slopes under drier and hotter conditions. I would expect Fd to do better on cool-aspect slopes where Py would likely not be as successful because of shade intolerance. Ratings show similar decline for both species. I would not expect Lw on this kind of site. It is less drought-tolerant than Fd and I don't see Lw occurring in the IDFxh units today let alone in BGC units with drier/hotter climatic conditions. I also would not expect Pl on this site so why it shows a minor presence in the future is problematic.
