Description
Loss of Fd feasibility at low elevation on the central coast and western Vancouver Island. Meanwhile Fd feasibility is maintained on east/south Vancouver Island, which is drier.
**Central Coast - CWHvm1**
Novel climate – currently CWHvm1, projected to become CWHvh1 which does not have Fd

Decreasing feasibility of Fd on the central coast is an artefact of the unit mapping, Fd does not occur as far north as mapped, in the CWHvm1 (Fd E2) and vm2 (Fd E3).
This will change with the new coastal BEC (vm1 and vm2 will be split north of Vancouver Island).
**Western Vancouver Island - CWHvm1**
On the west coast of Vancouver Island – decreasing Fd where CWHvm1 is shifting to CWHvh1.

Not sure that this makes sense – as temps warm Fd no longer feasible. As CWHvh1 (i.e. wettest subzone at sea level) moves upwards in elevation. CWHvh1 = too wet for Fd.
Further south on the west coast of Van Island CWHvm1 projected to: CWHwh_WA (which includes Fd). Fd feasibility increases.
**Disconnect in climate drivers – Fd feasibility increases on the south west Van Isld coast, but decreases further up the coast (central van island and central coast)**

Research direction
Review the central coast, western Vancouver Island, and southern west-coast Vancouver Island cases described in the issue, including the CWHvm1, CWHvh1, and CWHwh_WA transitions. Compare the reported Fd feasibility changes and determine whether the differences are mapping artefacts or climate-driver inconsistencies. Done means the discrepancy is explained and the affected feasibility review is identified for correction.
