Description
Steep cool aspects with rhododendron on them. Stands dominated by Bl and Se - sometimes Pl abundant. Sometimes Pa present.
Modelled suitability shows Pl Sx and Bl are all the most suitable species. Fd increases sharply over time; Lw less so.
Model does not really change anything except make Fd more suitable over time. This may occur over time but these sites occupy steep cool aspects so frost hazard is a significant issue for Fd that is not accounted for in the model.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Begin by locating the species-feasibility model and its treatment of steep cool aspects, then compare the modelled suitability for Fd, Pl, Sx, Bl, and frost hazard. Done requires a documented decision on whether frost effects for Fd should be represented and how the model output should change.
