Description
Steep warm slopes with high solar radiation. Pl stands sometime with Pa Bl and Se. Sometimes Fd is present.
Model shows high stuiability and slight decline in suitability for Pl Sx and Bl. Fd increases rapdily from about 30% to 60% over time as does Lw from 5 to 30%.
Model makes sense in that these are very dry and cold sites and Pl is likely the most reasonable species into the future. I suspect Fd is over-rated because the model fails to account for Frost risks associated with this species.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the suitability trends and species-percentage changes described in the issue, especially the rapid increase for Fd and Lw. Compare those outputs with the stated frost-risk concern and determine what model evidence or decision is needed; done requires an agreed resolution rather than an untracked suspicion.
