Description
Moderate to gentle slopes or middle and some lower slopes. SeBl and Ba forests. Hw rare and single occurrences of Fd Pa and Pm. Pl absent.
Bl Ba Sx show a sharp decline from high suitability to little or no suitability. Cw and Hw show about 50% suitability rising to about 80%. Fd shows low suitability risting to 80% suitability. Pl and other species show low suitability,
The model seems off given it gives Hw and Cw such high suitability right at the beginning and sharp declines for Bl Ba and Sx. I think the model is placing to much emphasis on the BGC unit becoming milder and wetter and there is no consideration given to frost hazards and drought conditions currently for species like Hw and Cw.

Research direction
No files or tests are named. Start by locating the ESSFmw2/05 BlBa model data and reviewing how slope, BGC moisture and temperature, frost, and drought factors affect species suitability. Done means documenting whether the observed behavior is expected and identifying an agreed correction or follow-up.
