Description
Mesic zonal sites - stands variable - Pl Pa Se and Bl almost always present. Bl most common followed by Se.
Modeled suitability shows Bl and Sx shows general decline to about 60%, Fd Hw Pw Hm and Cw increase to about 30-40% over time, Pl shows moderate decline to about 52% and Pa shows very sharp decline.
Difficult to see transition from SeBl forests to ones with Hw Cw Fd given frost hazards are likely to persist at high elevations. It looks like Bl and Sx are still the most likely successful species for this site series.
