Description
Warmer milder subhygric unit that occurs at lower elevations and is not subject to cold air drainage and frost pockets lik other moist to wet forested units. SeBl stands with Pl as a minor component.
Modelled suitability shows sharp decline in Pl Sx and Bl and increase in Fd Lw Cw and Hw over time.
Again, similar problem in that there is a shift from one group of tree species to another group with different ecological sensitivities. Difficult to see how Cw and Hw can be supported today on these sites given the elevation and frequncy of cold air and frost hazards. Similarly Fd and Lw are also subject to frosts do not do well.

Research direction
The issue names no file, test, or entry point. Start by tracing the ESSFdc3/06 Bl–Gosseberry–Oak fern unit’s modelled suitability inputs and outputs, then compare the projected species shifts with the stated frost and elevation constraints; done means the discrepancy is resolved or documented with an agreed correction.
