Description
Gentle to steep warm-aspect slopes. Stand a mix of Bl and Se with Pl most common in younger stands.
Model inicates Fd already is feasible at 43% and increases to about 90% by 2100. Pl shows a slight decline over time. Lw increases to about 45% by 2100. Bl and Sx show sharp decline over time. Other species show little or no feasibility.
I think Fd as a feasible species is over-rated given that these are high elevation sites subject to early spring frosts that damage or kill Fd. I think Pl is likely the best choice. Fd may become suitable if protected from frost.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the feasibility data or model entry for ESSFxc2/103 and review how Fd and Pl are assessed for Grouseberry clad-lichen sites; done means resolving whether the Fd rating should be revised in light of frost exposure.
