Description

The process road from quickstart took me down QMK town, which told me to compile my thing from scratch!

Finding out that prebuilt uf2 files were shared was a punch to the gut as me and @Jack-Pots tried to assemble it, we were messing around with toolchains, python environments, going back and forth between linux and windows

Since we did a bit of recon ahead of time, the json thing was not an issue but the actual firmware got us stuck for quite a while.

Yeah, we could've read more because this does seem to be documented but we still got stuck here

Research direction

Start with the quickstart and existing firmware documentation, focusing on the QMK path, prebuilt UF2 files, JSON setup, and Python environment steps across Linux and Windows. Clarify the recommended setup and flashing route so a new user can reach a working macropad without assembling unnecessary toolchains.
