Description
# Summary
Raising this issue to get some general feedback on if we should keep the example apps in the plugin workspaces for each plugin. There are pros and cons to removing the example apps and would like to open up the discussion a bit to see where we land in our stance on this.
What this would mean is that each plugin workspace would remove the example Backstage app entirely from its workspace folder and rely on using the `dev/index` files to test and launch their plugin locally.
There are pro's and con's to both approaches (keeping/removing).
Feel free to add your thoughts and comments below on this one so we can all make a plan on how we should move forwards!

Research direction
Review the plugin workspace folders and their example Backstage apps, then compare them with the `dev/index` files used to test and launch plugins locally. Gather the pros and cons of keeping versus removing the example apps and document the team's chosen direction; done means an agreed plan for all plugin workspaces.
