#### What is the outcome that you are trying to reach?
- An EKS-ready data security solution for the [data-on-eks architecture](https://github.com/awslabs/data-on-eks#%EF%B8%8F-architecture)
#### Describe the solution you would like
- Provide a blueprint for using [Apache Ranger](https://ranger.apache.org/) on EKS
#### Describe alternatives you have considered
- I'm not aware of open-source initiatives other than Apache Ranger
- There are important commercial data security players that base their solutions on Apache Ranger [[1]](https://privacera.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Apache-Ranger-and-Privacera_Key-Similarities-and-Major-Privacera-Enhancements-1.pdf)
#### Additional context
- Data security is often neglected until companies are big enough to be forced on that
- As a data community reference for best practices, this repository should focus on open-source data security solutions as well
