Description

Hello,

i am creating a custom docker image from sagemaker-distribution GPU 3.2.0 image, i am not doing anything fancy, just trying to install few python packages and image size is around 28GB.

Need help to confirm if this is expected, if not please tell me what i am doing wrong.

Research direction

Start by reading conda-requirements.txt and Dockerfile.txt, then compare the base sagemaker-distribution GPU 3.2.0 image with the custom image build. Trace which requested packages or build steps account for the size difference. Done means determining whether the roughly 28GB result is expected and documenting the cause or the specific configuration responsible.
