Description

## Bug description

The "Launch New Virtual Desktop" form and global desktop settings in the RES web portal display a Session Type selector with both "Console" and "Virtual" options. However, the Virtual session type is no longer supported starting from RES 2026.06. Regardless of the session type selected, VDIs will always be launched using the Console session type.

## Affected versions

2026.06

## Mitigation

No action required. The Session Type selector defaults to **Console**, which is the only supported session type. Ignore the "Virtual" option in the selector since it is no longer supported.

Research direction

Start with the Launch New Virtual Desktop form and the global desktop settings in the RES web portal, then trace where their Session Type selectors are defined. Done means the unsupported Virtual option is no longer selectable in either location while Console remains available; verify both affected UI entry points.
