Description

Has the possibility been considered of distributing the `aws-load-balancer-controller-crds` as a helm chart? I have applied these manifests and tracked them in my GitOps provider based on the instructions in the docs below:
* https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/lbc-helm.html
* https://raw.githubusercontent.com/aws/eks-charts/master/stable/aws-load-balancer-controller/crds/crds.yaml

However, it is unclear to me when this collection of resources needs to be updated and with which versions of the aws-load-balancer-controller they are compatible.

Karpenter follows the practice of bundling CRDs and the application separately and I think it would be a good idea to do it here, also.

Research direction

Start with the Helm instructions in the linked AWS EKS documentation and the stable/aws-load-balancer-controller/crds/crds.yaml manifest. Review how the existing chart packages these resources and compare the separate CRD and application approach mentioned for Karpenter. Done means a versioned CRD chart exists with its controller compatibility and update expectations documented.
