**Tell us about your request**
Automated provisioning of certificate in AWS ACM from kube manifests .. similar to cert-manager ? cert-manager only supports letsEncrypt. Need similar support for AWS ACM
**Which service(s) is this request for?**
EKS

Currently, certificates need to be provisioned outside the eks and provided to ingress. It would be great, if certificates can be configured from eks workloads and thei lifecycle is managed alongside deployments. Similar to cert-manager does it through letsencrypt. Another example is external-dns provions route53 domains from within the manifests. Cert provisioning is the missing piece which can glue end to end https in fully automated fashion.

Research direction
No repository files, tests, or entry points are mentioned. Start by reviewing the EKS request, the referenced cert-manager issue, and AWS ACM requirements; done would mean defining and delivering manifest-driven certificate provisioning with lifecycle management alongside workloads.
