**Tell us about your request**
Currently, there is no way to configure [Bottlerocket settings](https://bottlerocket.dev/en/os/1.57.x/api/settings/) within Auto Mode via User Data. I would like support for this to be added if possible so that we can provide parity in feature support between cluster types for internal consumers.
**Tell us about the problem you're trying to solve. What are you trying to do, and why is it hard?**
Currently we provide consumers the ability to deploy either a standard EKS cluster or an EKS Auto Mode cluster based upon preference. We try to ensure parity between different 'flavours' of cluster so allowing consumers to configure Bottlerocket settings may enable consumers who rely on these to trial Auto Mode clusters.
This would also bring this into parity with the similar AKS NAP which we also supply as an option to our consumers.
**Which service(s) is this request for?**
EKS Auto Mode
**Are you currently working around this issue?**
We have limited Bottlerocket setting configuration to Standard EKS clusters only.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the EKS Auto Mode User Data path and the linked Bottlerocket settings API documentation. Done means consumers can configure Bottlerocket settings in Auto Mode and achieve the requested parity with standard EKS clusters.
