Fargate

Compliance dictates that we run a Base OS hardened to CIS standards. Under the shared responsibility model, we would like to run fargate but would like assurance that the underlying OS is hardened to these standards for compliance resons

Running EC2 instances with a hardened CIS self managed OS

Research direction

The issue names Fargate and CIS-hardened base OS support but mentions no repository files, tests, or entry points. Start by researching the Fargate platform constraints and existing AWS documentation; done would require a defined, supported way to run Fargate on a CIS-hardened image or documented compliance assurance.
