Custom hostname for headnode

Hi, similar issues have been reported when installing applications that require a hostname for configuration. I currently have a similar issue and the only fix is to add an elastic IP, but I would rather keep the headnode private).

Could a custom hostname (or /etc/hosts entry) feature be added to future releases, this could help with many of the software and private subnet install issues.
