Unable to configure CloudWatch logs

Description
It is not really clear from the documentation how to configure CloudWatch Logs as the destination for RunCommand output from an on-prem private node. So how can I configure the agent to use the logs vpc endpoint vpce-xxx-xxx.logs.region.vpce.amazonaws.com ?
From a node with internet access this is not an issue.
