how to trigger it like cron job?

what other aws services can be integrated here to enable the automatic execution instead of manually giving the payload? In my case, I had enabled cross region replication for S3 new objects update. this tool is very useful to do a weekly or daily period checking for orphan objects or old objects which are CRR enabled earlier. how i can launch it in a weekly base or daily basis? I had tried CloudWatch Event, even though supporting steps as target, but not necessary for this use case.
