Error on CDK Deploy

When I do CDK deploy the deployment hangs at step 49/51.

The issue appears to be to do with the ECS. It gets to this part - Eventual consistency check initiated for ECS service - but then times out after 2 hrs.

No obvious errors that I can find on the console to help debug.

Start by reproducing the CDK deploy and observe step 49/51, where the ECS eventual consistency check begins. Inspect the ECS service and deployment state in the AWS console, then identify why the check times out after two hours. Done means the deployment completes successfully or the failure has a clear, documented cause.
