Replication in the same account and same region

Hi, I wonder if the replication can be done in the same account and the same region. We would like to enable encryption of metadata in the data catalog and afterward, we need to recreate the old databases and tables. We wonder if we can use this tool for this purpose?

I appreciate it if you can help me with this task, as with large number of databases/tables with huge amount of data, it is an enormous task to do the recreation.
