Reducing the recording frequency for spot instances from CONTINOUS to DAILY.

Hello,

We noticed that the config recorder had high cost associated with recording spot instances and related resources like network interfaces and security groups.

We wanted to check if there is any way to set the config recorder recording frequency of spot instances and their related activity to daily without affecting other EC2 instances. i.e. if the instance is spot then it should be recorded daily or else it should be monitored continuously along with its other related resources.

Is this something that can be done?

Start with the AWS Config recorder and EC2 Spot Instance documentation to determine whether recording frequency can be selected per resource type or instance category.
