Amplify-cli as a JS/TS module

Amplify CLI is written in TS. I have some CI/CD automation written in TS, and I would like to use the amplify cli automation directly from TS without spinning up a separate process through the shell. Is this possible? Is it a support use? If not, this would be a really nice feature enhancement given that certain operations (specifically `amplify push`) do not have direct equivalents in the aws sdk, which has broad language support.
