Description
Lex V1 will be deprecated and turned off on September 15, 2025. Creation of new Lex V1 bots is no longer allowed since March 31, 2025. If you have created any bots using Amplify Gen1 CLI's interactions category in the past, be sure to migrate them to Lex V2 before September 15, 2025.
The interactions category in Amplify Gen1 will be disabling the command `amplify add interactions` during June. All other amplify interactions commands will be disabled in early September.
If you would like to add a Lex bot to your application after `amplify add interactions` has been disabled please refer to our documentation which shows how to set up a Lex V2 bot with Amplify: https://docs.amplify.aws/gen1/react/build-a-backend/more-features/interactions/set-up-interactions/#setup-aws-lexv2-bot

Research direction
Start by reading the linked Lex V2 setup documentation and locating the Amplify Gen1 CLI interactions category entry points for `amplify add interactions` and the other interactions commands. Done means the specified commands are disabled on the stated schedule while the Lex V2 setup path remains documented and usable.
