Description

I noticed a little while ago when looking at test rig 1 and 2, that the reported air temperature of each were 5 degrees apart, and the only difference was that one was in a mast while the other was exposed to the open air. that's made it obvious that the air temperature data we're collecting is not particularly accurate, but I'm guessing there is some kind of function that would model the offset caused by housing the DHT inside the mast, which we could factor into it what it reports to make the data more accurate.

Research direction

Start by locating the code that collects and reports DHT air-temperature readings for test rigs 1 and 2. Compare the mast-mounted and open-air readings, then determine what evidence is needed to define and validate a correction model. Done means the issue has an agreed correction approach and demonstrably more accurate reported temperatures.
