unchangeable console window height and no word wrap with large amount of text

The animated gif shows what happens when a large amount of text is sent by some python 3.6 code to the script console in Atom 1.25.0 x64 running on Mac OS 10.13.3 using version 3.17.3 of Script. In the animated .gif, I attempt to increase the height of the console pane, but it is not possible to do so (I do accidentally highlight text). I've tried all the settings within Atom I can think of to cause the text to wrap or the height of the console window to increase. Nothing seems to help. I'm aware that the console window does have the ability to change in other editors, such as Sublime.
