Cannot add jira site in vscode 1.92 on windows 10 WSL 2

Cannot add jira site with usernanme/password or API token.
Get Authention error.
Error authenticating with Jira: Error: socket hang up

update:
upgrade vscode to 1.100.2, same problem while adding jira site
the same jira site URL and API token works fine in pycharm and eclipse
wondering if there's an option to set the proxy server for the plugin
