Research direction

The report names no repository file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing `sudo gem install colorls` on an M1 Pro running Sonoma 14.3 with Homebrew Ruby and inspect the `/usr/local/bin` failure; done is a documented, reproducible installation path or a confirmed project-side fix.
