Add a license?

Would you consider releasing this code under [an open-source license](https://choosealicense.com/)?

When [I blogged about the museum](https://danq.me/2025/10/15/the-scroll-art-museum/) earlier this month I contemplated using some of your code as a starting-off point to do some experiments of my own, but I'm not sure whether that's an acceptable use, and under what terms. [The about page](https://scrollart.org/contribute/) suggests that you're open to contributions, but it's unclear whether these can build atop of the code you've already written or must start from scratch, for example.

(You can just add a `LICENSE` file with the appropriate text to your repo, and/or update the `README` to achieve this.)

Review the README and the contribution guidance on the about page, then confirm which open-source license the maintainer wants to use. Add the appropriate LICENSE file and/or update the README so reuse and contribution terms are explicit. Done means visitors can identify the code's license without asking.
