Description

As mentioned by @bsipocz in https://github.com/astropy/sphinx-astropy/pull/27 we should specify minimum versions of our dependencies wherever possible. At some point I can try and build the astropy docs with progressively older versions of the deps and see when it fails.

Research direction

Review the discussion in pull request #27 and locate how this repository declares its dependencies. Build the Astropy documentation with progressively older dependency versions, as suggested in the issue, and record the oldest versions that still work. Done means minimum versions are specified wherever the compatibility checks support them.
