Description
I want to test whether I am entering modes correctly, and I want to do that through simply echoing the mode name upon entrance. However, the echo does not seem to appear in any of the terminal windows I have open.
The mode I am testing this on works correctly because instead of echoing I ran a yabai command to switch focus which did work, but that is a very annoying way to test things.

Research direction
The issue names no file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing mode entry with an echo command and trace where skhd sends that output; check the existing documentation and terminal behavior. Done means the output location or limitation is clearly documented so mode entry can be tested without an unrelated yabai command.
