Description

Problem

The /email endpoint accepts unbounded sender and body strings, which can cause unnecessary memory use and expensive upstream requests.

Acceptance criteria

  • Define reasonable maximum lengths for sender and body.
  • Return a clear validation response when limits are exceeded.
  • Document the limits and add focused tests.

Research direction

Start at the /email endpoint and inspect its current request validation and response handling. Choose and document maximum lengths for sender and body, add focused tests for accepted and oversized values, and verify that exceeding a limit produces a clear validation response.
