When selecting a title in the menu, the loading wheel apears for a second or two, then we see the play button in the top right for a fraction of a second. After that it returns to the menu where we just selected the title and nothing happens.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the failure described when selecting a title on LibreELEC Milhouse running on Linux ARM, then inspect the linked debug log at https://pastebin.com/1JdcJnPz. No source file or test is named in the issue, so first identify the playback entry point from the log. Done means the selected title continues playing instead of returning to the menu.
